BIO

Delving into love, loss, hope, and resilience, Alexandra Skora draws inspiration from her life and the world around her to tell tales that question who we are and how we can become the people we dream to be.

The New York native grew up with her father playing guitar throughout the house and at age four, quickly began her songwriting journey - coming up with melodies and lyrics as he played. The desire to learn her own instrument soon developed, and she progressed into playing classical piano, performing at venues like Steinway Hall throughout her childhood. In high school, she drew her attention to learning how to produce after becoming fascinated by the idea of using her skills to create a recorded result. She spent the following years building up experience in Ableton, Logic, and ProTools, developing her sound as an artist.

For her freshman year of college, Alexandra went to Tulane University, initially pursuing Environmental Studies. However, upon taking her first songwriting and music business courses, she realized that music was meant to be the center of her life. The following year, she transferred to New York University to combine her passions, enrolling in NYU Gallatin with a concentration in music, sustainability, and the business of entertainment. Upon graduating in 2023, Alexandra ventured to Los Angeles and began building her repertoire, ultimately rekindling with the guitar-based sound that marked her earliest years.

Alexandra Skora’s unfolding story intertwines with her evolving artistry, characterized by authenticity and introspection. Through her music, she invites her listeners to sit back and let themselves go, being guided to embark on the journey alongside her.
